Hi Ausfishers and Guests.......Fished the western side of Mud from 6am till 3pm.
Early morning was a bit lumpy with a S/W blowing but by mid morning conditions were calm.
Plenty of fish on the sounder but they weren't on the chew.
We worked very hard for 4 keepers 35 to 41cms
Zoom baby bass on 1/8th nitros did the damage.
Met Steven out there in his quintrex estuary angler.
Great to chat with ya mate and we were happy you finally got a keeper squire.
I'm confident next time you go out to mud and those fish are in a good mood you will bag out.
Very slow tide today may have slowed down the fish too...lol
Bring on Saturdays River to Mud bash!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers Brent :D

G,Day Lawry, Try around the south/west marker in 8 to 10 metres........Good fish shows there today.......Hope they are in a biting mood for you tomorrow.
You will have the wind and tide going in the same direction so this should help your drift.
Steven I'm not surprised the dog crashed tonight.......She/he had a busy day out there helping you catch those fish...lol
Very patient dog i might add.......my 2 dogs can't sit still for more than 5 minutes..lol
Cheers Brent ;)

Seems every man and his dog from Ausfish was out for the day ;). Heard Bugman, nofrills and others on the radio and drifted up to Kendall at Mud. Decided upon a very late run out as the planned deckie called at 1:30am to cancel out 4:30am departure to pt. lookout >:(. S.O.Origin drinks seemed to have been flowing very late [smiley=freak.gif] [smiley=drunk.gif]. The bay was absolute glass and so took the wife out for a quick look around Mud. Grinners :P and squire and grassies but all of small size. Pulled a couple bream from green for my Mum then called it a day. Would of been a pearler for wide grounds but this is prob the last run in the old rig :-/ :'( :'(. Don't worry Greg, I looked after her and even picked up a new battery and light switch as the old ones were getting stiff ;) ;D.
Cheers, Jay

You can see all the wite caps of today ;D ::).
Saw Steve coming in at the boat ramp on my way out and heard baby bass were the go. Picked up a couple of undersize squire on a borrowed bass. Changed to Pumpkin seed and got three good fish, the best about 48cm.
Thanks for the baby bass Steve - unfortunately met with an untimely end.

Nice fish mate.......Think we passed you at the brissy river/ boat passage junction.
Did you get them on the change of tide?
The late afternoon incoming tide would have had more run.
I tried out a new 4"gulp in watermellon colour with a long tail.......Got the first 40cm fish on it.
Cheers Brent :D
That was us heading out at the junction.
Have to admit this was my SP debut and have to say it went fairly well. The tide had turned to run in, but not any great amount of flow. Was using 4" power minnows in pumpkin seed.
