Well boys
Headed out to the 36’s North-East of the Seaway on Sunday morning with my two brothers. This was a special trip as it was the first trip in the new boat. On Saturday morning I sold the “Blue Rogue” and then in the afternoon we picked up “MAHI”. The new boat is a 5.5m Pacific Sportfish (Plate alloy) with 115hp Johnson. It has everything that a keen fisherman would love. Plotter/Sounder, 150l esky/Seat, Outriggers, kill tanks, live bait tank, t-top with 7 rocket launchers and self-draining decks. Not much more to do…
Put the boat in at 2am at the Grand boat ramp and headed north east. It was a great morning with the weather lately being a treat. Started catching squire, though as dawn hit so did the leather jacket. They were that thick that you couldn’t get a bait past them. You would go to check the bait runner and there would be no weight there as the bludgers had bitten all the tackle off. We moved to a few other marks though couldn’t lose them.
We then moved to the 24’s south-east of the seaway and again only caught squire. No big snapper this trip. Get them next time. Good day out, though even better to be out with a new rig.
