Might have the opportunity to pop down to Brunswick Heads (Northern NSW) shortly.
Have heard that the silver Bream are doing well at the moment via a questionable 3rd party.
Would appreciate reports or advice from Brunswick Heads fishos on the current situation in the river down there thanks?
Also are you able to hire tinnies still from the guy on the river in the centre of town? Or are there other tinnie hire mobs there?
Thanks,
Gigantor

I was going to Fraser last week but the strong wind forecast put me off for the time being. Spent a few days at Brunswick instead.
I'm a beach fisher mainly and off the wall. Unfortunately things were very quiet.
There were some black bream off the rocks in the river but the action wasn't thick and fast as it was recently apparently.
The tailor were virtually non-existant last week. There were plenty of undersized bream off the end of the wall at low tide and the early run-in.
The south beach was quiet too. A few reasonable bream and the odd dart.
Hope you have more luck than I did.
cheers
A couple of years back I caught a monster bream just under the bridge that goes out to the seaway wall.
Went back next day and couldn't get a bite, so I decided to go down to the wall for a while. While I was walking over the bridge I looked into the water where I had just been fishing and there were at least six huge bream just lazily swimming around.
I dropped a line in and they'd swim up to the prawn and have a look and then just swim away :'(
Sorry, that doesn't answer your question, it's just I develop this tic any time someone says Brunswick Heads ;)
I was there a month ago, picked up 1 Mangrove Jack on a sp,and a couple of
Bream. Bream were very quiet decided to chase some flatties, fished were the first creek runs into the main channel on the bottom of the run out tide for 6 flatties in about half an hour, also lost another 4. All fish were between 50 to 65 cm. Caught while slow drifting with lecky motor on using Squdgy 80mm in gold.
Cheers

Sadly have to report that I didn't wet a line while at BH's. Was crook as a dog the whole time I was there and the weather wasn't the best (was blowing and raining).
Though spoke to a couple of chaps that said the black fish were still in good numbers near the mouth and the lizards were still around the sandy areas of the river.
heading back there in November and will hopefully have better weather and better health.
