poppin trevally on gold coast

snagged my way out of working last night so i thought i should indulge in a rare dusk session. decided upon going down to a local drian in the river where the travally school up. armed with my rack raider, 8lb line and a bubble pop 45, it was time to have a go. about five casts in i saw a boil behind my popper then bang! line started peeling off, luckly it ran to open water to battle. after a few close calls around the rocks (and a net making my christmas list) i finally got a nice trevally in for some shots. using a popper has to be one of the most exciting ways to fish.

Awesome looking fish. Love the bubble pop 65's. That was the first popper i caught a bream on.,
