White Island Trip 27-12-2005

My Mate Ben wanted to go fishing again with the SP. The weather was not good at all so i decided to go to white Island for a Quick flick.
The bad news is that I did not get one fish. The good news is that Ben caught his first legal fish on SP's which was a 65cm Flathead which he was over moon with.

Nice flathead There Steven 78 yes the weather has been ordinary with these northerlys blowing, can't wait for some southerlys to kick in
I when out on the same day as you but from wello point fish behind Green and St Helena manage to get 3 nice whiting and 2 sandies pretty rough on eastern side of the islands I would like to be out on in middle of the bay

We wanted to go to Wellow mater of fact my mate was very keen but i thought the weather was not so good.

I caught the whiting on little strips of squid on Mustad long shank red hooks I haven't converted to soft plastics yet still a bait man ;D
I fish the bay like if I am fishing over the south passage drift fish with my big parachute anchor out the back I get some :o look's from other Boaties on the water
I reckon cover more ground and ambush the fish in stealth mode with this method and better hook up rate I have let sercet out :-X

A mate of mine Brent talked me into drifting aswell and i have never drop anchor since. One day you will give the SP's ago and you will never look back.
