At the ramp at 4.30 and picked up a mate. We then ventured to spot x. 2nd cast came a subtle pull so i pulled back, and then she took off. Around the boat a couple of times thinking vermin but the dung dung of the rod tip told me different.
My td-sol (thanks Duncan) was wound up good but pulled 8pd fireline off as smooth as (what a reel)
Soon came my best squire/snapp to the net, it went 65cm.
Back at the ramp by 8am with 4 keepers, 36, 37, 39, 65cm. 3-5 inch plastics 1/8 - 1/4oz jheads.
Wed fished the shipping channels of Bribie for nil effect (dad had smuggled bannanas on board). Lots of fuel used, then today used $2 worth of fuel for a good catch????
Anyway i promised the wife not to fish for the rest of the year.

Well done on your catch no fishing for the rest of the year that is easier said than done but being only one day left it may be achievable happy new year

I had to do the same thing except to the olds. Apparently they get sick of driving to boatramps at all hours of the day and night. God, obviously not fishers.
