Hello

Has any one used bird feathers made up as a lure (not using a fly rod just an egg beater) with a hook in morton bay or esteries or anywhere and had luck. I got some white feathers and made a couple of lures up but was courious if anyone has played with this yet.

I know this would be an opproch the fly fishin guys try but have been impressed with guys who use fly rods in salt water and get good results.

I also love the catches the other guys a couple of lines below me near the bris river with the squire and snapper. Sounds to me they go for moving baits or lures more in shallow water more then dead baits.

Saw a show on T.V 2saturdays ago with Malcom Doodlearse re feathers .He was catching all the pelagic species up broome way . I think that if they are hungry enough they will eat near anything that resembles food moved thru the water
