Monster Whiting Tweed River Elbow Slappers

Hi fished the tweed river at spot x saturday morning on got 10 whiting ranging from 35cm to 38cm very nice fish must buy digital camera now so I can show pics next time I go.

I was down there 2 weekends ago in my boat with a buddy of mine and his daughter. There certainly are some horse whiting getting about in that system. I got one that went 32 cm while my mate's daughter nailed 2 at 35 & 38cm. All seemed to definately prefer beach worms over any other bait!

Got them on blood worm they are very shy dont bite just swallow and sit there not an easy fish to catch get spooked very easy

try slow retrieve about 2m per minute it works for me cheers

funny a mate and I were driffting near the golf club and all we got were 1/2 doz way under size ones :'(

It was in the tweed river at spot x i have fished the golf course heaps good fish there caught 30 2 weeks ago drifting around. But spot x whiting is much bigger than golf course ones. I have bought a camera now so next time I catch them you can see photos

all the whiting at spot x are monsters and at times you can find them in big numbers

Good stuff just remember to make sure there is lots of background in all your photos so we locals can pin point your spot x ;D

good jack bait at that size. used a 32cm over christmas and got a 51 cm purple boy on him - crikes theyre aggressive hunters! nice work anyway.
