Woke on monday morning to the sound of birds instead of rain and wind and headed to scarborough for a long waited session with the plastics.
Got there at the bottom of the tide and fished the first 2 hours of the run in. Wind was nil and only 1 other person in a yak was sharing the area. Only had 4 hits for the morning so things were a bit slow although 3 of these resulted in fish. These were all snapper/squire with 2 being my best to date so it was a very good day in the end.
Cheers, Derek

Amazing to see those conditions after such an extended period of near-on cyclonic conditions... how quickly it changes :o Nice catch and a great conversion rate 3 fish from 4 hits :)

Hi Derek, Mate its great to see you catching some quality squire.
I reckon that rough weather we had on the weekend stired up the food source and those fish are out hunting for whatever passes there way.
Mate i hope next time that 5 kilo one has your name on it.
Cheers Brent :)

Great fish there Dezzer. And beatiful conditions. You deserve a day like that if ya just worked 21 days straight. Well done. I heard a report of a close to nine kilo snapper caught around where you were around the same day by a fellow in a kayak. Maybe the same fellow you saw there. Enjoy your days off mate.
