hit the seaway this morning in chase of some jewies. got on the water by 430 and started jigging a trans am. it got nailed on the drop by a solid big eye trev which was released and then followed it up with a tailor at 50 cms. moved closer over to the wall and dropped a small herring down only to have ot nailed about 15 ft down by a nice schoolie of 65cms. only had 2 livies so i then dropped a peice of tailor to the bottom and scored a nice flattie as well. finished of the day with a few more tailor on soft plastics and trans ams.

the tailor down there are really solid atm i managed one at 58cms on last tuesday night as well.

Matt, that's a good feed of fish.

I just had dinner 5 mins ago, and sat down on the PC to see your resultant photo of your cooking. As full a belly as I have, I reckon I could fit a few mouthfulls of your fish in. Mmmmm that looks good!

Will you take all the credit, or will that get you in trouble?? ;D ::) ::)

Well done

Nice schoolie matt, well done. Ive found the North wall a bit average, but its a bit better when I drift instead of anchor.

What do you do when you see bait? Do you anchor, drift or follow the bait with an electric?

cheers

hey fellas sorry for not replying to the posts but my other account (matthill80) has been banned for 1 month because of some simple questions i had asked a moderator. anyway apart from that u can find the trans ams at any good tackle store some people also call them flt's or flex lure technology. they are a soft elastic type lure that resembles a mask vibe jackall except it has a tail. the salt versions are the go in the seaway as they weigh 20 gms and the others are a bit light for the deeper stuff at only 13gms. as for the laksa it is really simple. i just by the asia at home laksa paste and 1 400 ml tin of light coconut milk. just fry the fish in some sort of nut oil such as sesame in peices of about 3cm cubed. add the paste while the fish is cooking and about 2 mins later add the cocnut milk and about 1/2 a cup of hot water. throw in whatever vegies u want and about 6-7 mins later ur dinner is served. i like it on rice so it makes a sort of a risotto but the laksa noodles or hokkien noodles also go great.
