Because of the predicted poor weather for today, we decided to stick to the creeks. First we headed up Cabbage Tree to chuck the cast net for a few prawns with no success :( I think we got one prawn in about ten casts :-? So that stuffed that idea ::)
After that we headed up Nundah Creek toward the gateway to flick some plastics around. We peppered the creek for what felt like hours without any luck and then all of a sudden, Mick(aka Missing_FNQ) reels in his PB whiting :o As you can see from the picture below, its a monster :-X
We soon noticed the wind wasn't blowing like forcasted so we headed out the front to see what was doing in the bay. The damm bay was as smooth as you could just about get!! Not happy! >:(
Headed full throttle over to Redcliffe to try around the rocks. A few flicks of the plastics later and Mick reels in another Whiting with another PB! :o
A short while later and Mick was onto something again. It looked like it had some size to it as the rod was doubled over and beads of sweat were rolling of Micks forhead. I had the net ready as Mick was wrestling the unknown to the surface and at first sight the beast was safely in the net. What a monster it was :o
Pictures below.(Sorry for the poor quality.)
