FINALLY FISHIN

At last the local cricket season came to an end with the Mighty Kawana Bulls taking out the premiership.
Glad thats over I missed far too much fishin over the summer.

Pulled the edgy out from the under-growth and hit the pumicestone pre dawn. (Sun)
All very quiet and a little colder than I remember last. Out come the poppers and hardbodies.

All very quiet but plenty of activity under surface. Throw out the hardbodies and left them sit there while I gave the popper another go.
Bang the mad mullet got engulfed by a nice little queenie. Great fight on the 6lb fireline and a lovely release to boot.
Another 20 mins of hard work and got busted off by a nice trevor when I was day dreaming.

Pulled up stumps by 7am, checked the pots for a couple of just legal bucks and home for household duties by 8.30am.
(nicked off to the cricket preso and drank beers all arvo with the boys) no pics sorry

Couple of nice muddie mate, and they were tasty.
I hadn't had much of a chance to put the pots out this season, plus I wasn't real keen on restocking stolen pots as much as last year.

I can't believ how much the sand has changed in the last 2 months. Spots i used to have no trouble getting too even at 1/2 tide were cut off.
Had to leave them out in the open, wasn't real confident that they would still be there but surprise they were.
