i fished the pin for jew on the top of the tide last night near the bar
at 7pm i heard a strange sound behind the boat - I had a school of mullet sitting in the lee of the boat.
I took the landing net & scooped up about six 20cm mullet, 2 of which jumped out. I made my efforts castnetting that arvo seem a waste of time.....
When the mullet school thats when the real greenbacks appear - the first cold westerly used to be an indicator & we have just had a cool week.
I will on straddie for easter - I will definitely be fishing near the bar after seeing that school.

Got a nice one in Wynnum Marina Sat, on a popper, it went 58cm. Great fun in the 6lb leader, must say I thought I was gone a couple of times.
Noticed heaps of mullet in the marina, made me jump every time I spotted them, kept thinking they were every other fish apart from Mullet.
Cheers Steve
