Well, what can be said, aside from very very slow.......

Spent the day out with the young fella fishin, started at the seaward end breakwater fishing the both sides of the rock walls with othing but a couple of crabs taking a mix of peeled and whole prawn baits. We the moved to the Strand Jetty to meet the wife for lunch as a side issue, still blowin like a new groom. Then onto the salty side of Aplins weir which is flowing quite well, still after throwing sp's, hardbodies and prawns, no luck. Then it's down to Loam Island for a quick toss of a couple of SP's but too much weed to fight so its back home to a hot shower & coffee and then type this report.

All in all a great day out with the young fella who had an absolute ball I might add, but no fish, next time......when they're bigger.

Cheers

SITUATION NORMAL

I have doing the same as you including rockpools and even palleranda. NOT YET.

I have some luck off Rooneys bridge with small trevally and small cod. The youngster might enjoy that as well

happy fishing

The fresh has seemed to of shut down most of the estuary and inshore options. The bohle is relatively void of bait. Went up to rattlesnake caught one trout on the line (42cm) and absolutely dumbfounded by my made who sighted over 30 trout in 500 square metre area while spearfishing (brave in tiger shark country). The majority were undersize, though he managed to get three trout on the spear from underneath us, 72, 70, and 45cm. Talk about rubbing salt into the wounds.
