went out this morning with the 2 oldest (6 &3 ) and dad for a bit of a fish down the logan . got to carbrook ramp around 0730 and first cast was around 0745. first spot was marks rocks and the kids pulled 1 bream each , both went 22cms >:( so they went back to be caught when they got a bit bigger ;)

wind was howling up the mouth of the river so the call was made to move upstream a bit , next drop was just upriver from lone pine . soaked baits here for a couple hours until dad hooked up on what i first thought was a jew , was only when i slipped it in the net that i realised it was a grunter bream (when i laid him out on the bragmat he went 42cms )

that was it for the day , not another fish caught , another day when the skipper goes fishless ::)

both the kids caught a fish , so that only feeds the addiction ;)

nice out on the water with the kids and my dad , so was not a complete loss ;D

cheers
jason

ps- saw plenty of guys throwing castnets , with none of them picking prawns out the nets :o

sure is tony , when your out with family catching fish doesn't really matter.

he has already expressed interest in heading out the seaway , on a good day that is , last year he finally got his first barra and now he badly wants a decent snapper.

dunno why he want to go with me for that :-X :o ::)
