Well myself and Mick(Missing_FNQ) were planing on flicking some plastics around the front of Redcliffe. However once we got to the ramp the weather didn't look like it was going to allow us to play the game :( We and every other boat waited for the sun to start showing before putting the boat in the water and heading out. We went out the front for a bit but flicking the plastics in the wind wasn't working so we headed up the Pine.
Once we found a nice little spot it wasn't long before Mick was hooked up and landing the first fish. It was a nice pan size lizard however it was jagged in the back so I don't think that one counts.
Shortly after I was hooked up and I landed another lizard about the same size(abit bigger I think) as Mick's. Mine was hooked in the mouth so that's one for Shane and zero for Mick :D
Things went a little quite in that spot for a while but just when we were about to move I was on again. This fish was fighting a bit harder than the others and once it showed its ugly head we knew why. It was a monster lizard going 62cm.
So thats two for Shane and Zero for Mick :P
Anyway, needless to say we will be targeting this spot again ;)

Nice fish there - especially for this time of year. It has been said before, but it does seem llike the slot limits for flatties( introduced a few years ago) are now resulting in us catching better fish all year round?

Great catch of flathead Shane and Mick.
Sounds like it was an enjoyable day even when the wind doesn't work with you.

Cheers
