gold coast surf fish! PB bream!!

ok so i went down the coast for a spot of fishing this afternoon~
i got 2.5 hours of fishing for a personal best on a bream!
the surf was flat as a tack! completely glassed out! no waves! kind of spooky even. anyway waided out a bit had about 5 casts for nothing ... then wack! freight train! kept the tension up till i got the fish on shore!
turned out to be a bream! took a pilly on a 3 gang! like i said my personal best ! and the biggest i have seen! went 42cm and weighed 1.2kg cleaned!

anyway rebaited the line which was not in the water for anymore then 5 mins... then WACK! off it goes again! this one was running like a tailor this time! got it almost on the shore then it decided to spit the hooks... time to duck! they landed behind me! anyway long story short missed another 7 due to spitting hooks and landed 3 good size tailor! ranging 40,41,44cm! not bad for 2.5 hours fishing was back home by 8.15pm

p.s following are pics of the haul! notice the size of the bream on my esky lid! it was nose to tail inside the esky ! big fish!

Top catch Shano those big fellas sure did work you, caught some beauties like that of the rock at iluka acouple of years ago. Like others have said bring on those big winter bream, hope there all that big!

Whopper Bream, great to see. So I suppose that must have been the bottom of the tide you were fishing. Its just fantastic to see our beaches supplying us with fish like that. :)
