Just back from a trip to mermaid to fish a beautful beach formation that had absolutly no right not to be teeming with fish. :(
Anyway I spent 3 hours across the tide change fishing with beautiful fresh baitI picked up Morgans, mullet ,pillies, squid, slimeys.
NOT ONE BLOODY BITE.
THERE IS NO JUSTICE :( :(

Rando,
Went to Bribie surf beach yesterday and like you tried pillies, fresh squid, blood worms , soft plastics and squid. Conditions good early and not a bite on anything. Came home shaking our heads.

Maybe there is something to the no fish on a full moon theory.

Chris
When I left work about 4.30 there was a fair bit of cloud so I was hopeing that would help ,but by the time the first bait hit the water It was clear & bright , the water was very clear too , maybe that was the problem.
I fished the same gutter the week before and got plenty of bites, i was burleying steadily though as there was no sweep to speak of .
