Hey guys..

Finally got a day off today so i went for a flick around the Burleigh canal system & caught three flatties early between 30-40cm before it turned into a nice little 4 bream session for myself!

I was getting nice strikes before i landed my first which came in just under 23cm then it kind of went off the chew before i moved around to this nice little bridge where on my first cast my SP got smashed & i could see it run back into cover before it spat it out so i had a look at my jighead thought it would be a good idea to bend the hook down alittle.. What a nice move on my part!!

Next cast... Smash! I was onto a strong little fighter who i saw run for cover with another 4 bream trying to get the SP off the one that was hooked up!! Quite a site & a first for me to see Bream being so aggressive.

Quick pic of the my first legal(23cm) for the day & flick back into the strike zone... Bang! This guy started to get the drag run off before i give him a quick headturn with the rod & no more line for you Mr. Bream!

Grab another pic of this one at 24cm & start flicking again hoping i would get a hat-trick on my third cast but no luck this time round.. #Continue to miss takes for about 15mins when i get another nice hook up & great little fight off my biggest of the day at 25cm..

a PB for me in the way of catching 4 bream in one session on SP's & kind of gets me thinking sooner i get a boat the better this Breamin' will be!! #..Hopefully! :D

I was using a Berkley 2" power grub in Pumpkinseed to catch(& release) all the fish..

G'day
All those fish are very nice. Seahorse, none of those fish are short. It may seem it but look at where the fish's lips are in relation to the ( 0 ).

Sounds like a good little session mate. Bream like to do that especially around pontoons . They all follow the hooked fish out and if your mate is quick to get his plakky in their it normally results in adouble hook up.

Great effort mate, who cares if they were a little short......at least next time they will be a little long, good on you for releasing them to fight again.

Cheers Steve
