After a good Saturday night session on the islands, a last minute decision was made to venture out again. Even though some of us had to work(sorry Chris aka GWH and Mal) I managed to find a likely accomplice in AF member, fish2eat (Stu) to join me in the trek to the surf side.

With a high tide just on 5.30pm, it was not long before the tailor were on the chew. It was one of those memorable sessions, a whisper of south east that ran out of puff on dark, little swell or sweep and a sky full of stars.

It was also one of those sessions where, if something could go wrong it would. We had numerous biteoffs and fish come off in the last wave, a couple of freight trains missed that are still heading east as I speak and several tangles round the alvey. All in all we had a great time returning home by 8.30pm with 6 solid fish up to 2.5kg.

Thanks Stu for good company. It's a shame you can't come tomorrow night just because of some football game that's on??

same office my friend, beach is steeper, rip is still there too!

Going back tonight Chris, you can tape football, you can't duplicate this sort of form, leaving at 4pm, still got Crazy Horse's boat so you don't have any work to do, c'mon!

You know I'd love to go back there, but there's only one thing better than catching tailor on a pristine beach on a perfect night.......

Watching the blues get their arses kicked......live

Go get 'em Mr Wolf, at least you will have the whole beach to yourself.

Not even I when the 'origins' on mate.

Good tailor Scott and you'd have to be confident about tonight as well hey?
Is a skill to be able to put the mocker on people that are fishing when you're not - well done Chris! Can you teach me how at some stage. There are some people I know that just catch too many fish at times. Is much worse when they're in the same boat as me.

Nice fish Mr L Wolf! Would love to join you sometime to swap some 'tailor that got away' tales as i've had my fair share of these over the years! Went down to the coast on Sun but not a skerret! Wind was up (sthly).

Nice work there matey!
I went down to Kingscliffe & Cabarita on Sunday morning- not a tailor in sight (47 business got broken into on Sat night- caught 3 blokes from Browns Plains)
Got a bucketful of swallowtail dart, but nothing else....
Then- last night, the missus turned into a snapper on the fulltime whistle.
(I was kinda snappy too...) ;)

... and what did those words taste like Stu. That's why god invented foxtel, so AF members could go fishing all the time. (replay was at 10pm)
