View Full Version : Wednesday dolhes rocks with kids

Hi everyone,

took the missus & kids out in the little tinnie on wednesday at dolhes rocks.We got 12 winter whiting, 7 small bream , on prawns & 1 small green back taylor on a 3 " watermelon swimming mullet . All went back.
I havent had so much fun for ages the kids had a ball and at least the missus was with me so couldnt winge about me fishing.

all in all a good day for a bit of fun.

I m going out around woody point in the morning to throw some plakkys about, will let you know how I go.

great stuff pritch - thats what it's all about. i dare say you'll fare better on the reefs at woody though. some great bream to be had at dohles though, given the right conditions.

Great going Pritch. Getting the kids involved and teaching them is a great show for the future. That is how my dad taught me and if we ever have kids then that is how I will teach them. I hope you all have a good trip at Woody Point. ;D

Are your kids real young, or wagged it for the day?
MY young bloke is dirty with me coz I made him go to school while I the day off to go fishing yesterday!

Hi Feral,
the kids are real young, a little girl nearly 5 and the boy 2 & a half, he just runs amuck & the girl is always worried about sinking or shark attack & the like, its amazing that even at so young they are so dfferent , he is such a bloke & she is the sensible female all over.Any way Im glad there so small cause the little ten footer wont handle them for too much longer.

not sure if I will get out today as the rain is on & off but will probably try around dohels on the tide tonight, I will let you know how I go.
