Hit the mouth of the Logan Yesterday arvo for a pretty hot session. The weather was nasty but the fish were on the chew.
Hit a purple patch where i got slammed 4 casts in a row. Within about 30mins I pulled in 5 Bream and 1 Squire.
The best bream went 34cm. The squire only went 28cm, but boy did it pull hard - I can see why people chase them in the bay on bream gear.
After the wind got up we moved round the corner out of the wind to chase some flathead in the shallows.
I managed to get onto a nice 60cm or so flathead that bit me off at the boat - the 6lb vanish leader I was running didn't stand a chance - I'll have to remember to up it next time.
All fish were caught on Gulp Pumpkinseed 3" Minnow Grubs.
To round off the afternoon I managed to drop my sounder in the water at the ramp :( - Any idea how waterproof sounders are? It was in the drink for about 2.5 seconds before I rescued it - it's a Humminbird Matrix 25.
Sorry no pics - it wasn't really camera weather out there yesterday afternoon :'(
