View Full Version : FAT Bream
Went out to Mud this morning, had a drift on the east reef for not much, so we decided to troll a bit, boated a small taylor and a small mackerel (both released). Hooked up a couple of nice taylor but both got off (bummer). Stopped off at "neighbours" on the walls on the back in, was pretty quite, untill I hooked up on a stonker bream (biggest to date), just on 40cm, and over the kilo mark. Dont know the exact weight cause I only have some kitchen scales and they only go to a kilo.
Followed up with a 30cm bream. My mate didn't have so much luck, catching a turtle (hook safely removed), and an eel. Fantastic fay on the water today, was a regular old "boatpark" out at mud.

Nice breambo there Juzo and good to say g'day at the ramp this morning.
Actually was surprised that you were heading home so early.
Cheers
Steven
yeah, had some "issues" with the battery, which in turn found me pull starting the motor, decided not to risk getting stuck out there, a real bummer on a day like today...... been working on it this afo, not sure what the story is yet, hopefully it was a dodgy connection (am re-wireing), and not the alternator. Might take it for a spin tommorow once I'm done and test it
