Gidday,
Last night (Sat 1 July), I launched the boat at the Cleveland/Raby Bay ramp at about 5:30 - the sun was down but there was still light in the western sky. A beautiful night with a westerly of less than 10 knots. There were only a few people out going by the number of trailers parked near the ramp.
I tried lots of spots from Ormiston Point to the Huyber light, working hard for just 2 keeper bream, with one boomer spitting the hook back at me beside the boat (well it looked like a biggun in the light of my headlamp). As well, I released a few undersized squire and a heap of moses perch. I got broken off by someting big and fast - a tailor maybe. Anyhow it laughed at 6 lb line. Most fish were caught on peeled prawns, a few on pillies.
Not a real succesfull night, but better than a night in front of the telly.
Mike
