Fished with ScottyGC during the week. Started around Wavebreak with bait for a few average bream before Scotty nailed the bream in the pic - went 35cm. Moved on upstream and fished plastics. Fairly quietish day although Scotty kept a steady stream of average fish coming aboard before getting a couple more nice bream on Gulps and a decent lizard. I also managed a nice one on a pink squidgy. Lizards both went 59/60 cm. Seems a few of this size about - I also got one a few days before. Got blown off the water soon after lunch.

For those who wonder how best to work a plastic. Scotty was leaning back for smoko with the rod in the holder explaining to me how his mate got a good lizard in the Classic using that approach - when - whammo - off his rod goes. Who needs a fancy retrieve ;D ;D

New here to plastics and I tried my best at "drowning" one the other night out from Biggera Creek and to my surprise a nice chopper tailor decided ta have a munch. It was a thrill and I will be trying the SP's again
Great story
Thanks,
Murks

haha nice catch boys...Scotty just to make sure everyone is aware that your strategy does work I was fiddling with the reel the other day after casting out and bam 40cm flatty without moving the tip. haha good to hear it was my technique and not just a fluke ::)
