Well with the oldman up he was onto me for a feed of crab ( he had enough of the crayfish trout and tusk fish). I was sceptical with the tides so neap but I thought what the hell. The tides were small so my usual spots were out of the question so I went about trying a few new spots.

The word around was that nothing was moving and I wasnt confident when I arrived at the creek to here from a resident that he hadnt pulled a crab in 5 days.

Anyway listening to the old mans advice (lived in Tully for over 40 years and was once a very good crabber) he told me you never catch crabs in clear water so we headed upstream looking for some dirty water.

Anyway robbed them the next day for 6 nice bucks wih 3 bucks going back 2mm under sized. The highlight was the 2.4 kg buck which went 22cm across the carpace. Certainly my biggest crab fr 2006.

This was a good capture as my old man dosnt belive you can catch big crabs in the round orange jarvis walker pots (he reckons the mouths are to small). Anyway heres a couple of pics

"Brians" ?? is that what they call Tooheys beer in NSW. Does it have something to do with the cult movie Life of Brian ??

Or is it just that it destroys more brain cells than Qld beers and causes dyslexia, reducing one's ability to spell ???

Yes Choppa - well balanced - and well spelled too !!. Though I must admit there have been times when Fourex has affected my balance a little. (or a lot)
