The little fellers report (kingcobe) referring to scarborough reef saturday should refer to the reefs at woody point........my fault as I had been mentioning scarborough early in the week and he automatically assumed that's where we went.

The rig we towed back was to the ramp at margate. First time I'd been there and it was low water and gee it was shallow! :o Not much of an onshore wind but it was enough to push a little tinny up the beach and it took a fair wade out to get her away from there. There was quite a few boats coming in there so I assume that they have it sussed but it ain't my idea of a good ramp ::)

Just a bit of info on the ramp in case anyone is considering it.

margate ramp is only realy good in a westerly as the waves just keep rolling in there in any other breeze normally a bit of water there better than what was at clontarf ramp at 1 pm on sat a foot of water mixed with a foot of mud i refused to start my motor until we pushed out to the marker bouys with the paddles

I put in at scarborough ramp this morning. Now that is a great ramp. I havent used it in years and I had forgotten just how good it is. I normally put in at clontarf but I am seriously rethinking about changing over to scarborough for a lot of my fishing.
