nice catch there (especially the Jack in July!) - what sort of area where you fishing (deep/shallow/near bar/etc)?

I am heading up that way tomorrow and wouldn't mind a tip on roughly where I should start looking.

thanks

Hey i was at the goldy all last week, there was tonnes of hardie heads around the rocks on the north side of wave break island. I cast netted and got about 200 in one go, i felt bad as alot of them died. But yeh i was also cast netting in around spot x (a secret jack spot) on monday afternoon and cast netted a 25cm jack, i also fished at this spot with some live poddies and herring and got smoked on the rocks a couple of times by what i believe where some winter jacks, apart from that i only pulled out some flatties, biggest was 75cm.

nice catch logan.
my day was a little less interesting..my deckie was more interested in taking photos of the sunset than fishing....he did enjoy himself so i guess thats the main thing.
