Not far at all... the 24's about 4k's (just on 2 nm) out about 15 minutes depending on conditions. and the 36 about 10 min from that.

this should help. I used google earth. Just search on 'gold coast gps marks', and youll find a few, then overlay them by inputting the co ords in google earth.
I might delete this pic in a few days, in case Ive upset someone, but they are all common marks from teh net.

you can get all sorts out there mate, snapper, trag jew, spangled emperor, mack tuna, bonito, cobia ... parrot.. mixed bag really but it can be really hit and miss .. not like heading to the banks but for the distance travelled its worth a shot .. thats just from my experiences and I dont fish it all the time there are others that do a lot better who have fished the area alot.. it seems to be one of those places you need to work out over time so don't be too discouraged if you dont do to well .. thats what i keep telling myself anyway

Yeah i fish it in my inflaitable. I havent been out there for a little bit, but i used to fish it all the time. Takes a while to learn how as it is fishes by lots, but once you get everything right ;D. i usually always get results. But if your not on the right ground out there you'll find it hard to even get a bite. The usual for the 24's are parrot, snapper, sweetlip, cobia, gummy shark and tuna. plus the unstopables i get busted up on every time. (id have to say massive cod)
you'll luv it greg
