Put in this morning at 7am and went to all my usual haunts.Tossed round some Dropshots over the banks round the islands, got 2 good Flathead in the first 20 minutes 62 and 58cm so started to fish my way back to the ramp.Got past the Bli Bli Bridge and threw round the channel markers with no luck so headed to the mouth of Petrie Creek got another that went 47cm headed to the mouth of Eudlo Creek which has been on fire this winter.Got 2 more 54cm and a beauty that went 76cm.All up on the water for 3 1/2 hours for 5 good fish all were released.

Nice one - good to see there are still some good fish in the Maroochy despite the attention of the commercial netters. Saw 3 of them netting a 1km stretch of the river upstream of the Bli Bli bridge a few months back, just about broke my heart.

Sounds like a great session stack. I have been thinking about spending a weekend up around there in the near future.

sounds like a great session mate, congrats to you. the releasing of these fish is great, i totally agree with it. we at Tintenbar fishing club have a policy where we release all flattys over 65cms and only keep a couple for the bbq and beers after our outings. heres a couple of pics of some very recent releases cheers Maxi

Too bad you are the exeption. The policy these days seems to be "Take everything that's edible and bugga the future generations."
