was chasing squid the other night in the brissy river with little success when a nearbye fisherman alerted me something big had swirled at the back of my jig that looked fishy as i was looking at the ship berthing and loosing interest. well that got the blood flowing into the lure box and doh have my old taxed estuary box that has nearley been raided out to fill my larger one as all will relate to. only thing not rusted out is a $ 3.50 cheapey popper that is on the small side but i tye her on and the first cast has a big splash bump but no hook up. a bit of shacking and the other guy saying what the f##k was that thing and im nearly expecting a little jew on popper for a first. next throw three cranks and bang big thready lunges toward the entrance takes 20 odd meters and straightens a hook for freedom. well im sure thats what it was and not as big as others i have seen photos of recently but at @ 7 kilo on 6 pound line it soon staightened my little treble and off she whent. back down tonight with better lures and thicker line bet i come home cold without a photo but hay ill throw till my arms ache. ;D

Your adrenaline is pumping??? How about mine! Top description mate. I reckon Popper fishing can be one of the most exciting ways to fish. I did a fair bit earlier inn the year targeting Tailor. Very speccy strikes at the poppers.
Keen to see how you get on mate. Cheers.
