As I hadn't fish the Broadwater for what seamed like ages , went there today with a cousin.

Went to a favorite spot that only does well in the winter (or I think so anyway)

Blowing a gale and my little bow mount could barely keep up with the current and wind.

Fished for 3 hours and got 35 bream with 20 being a good size and altleast 6 going the 30 cm range best went 35 cm.

Why can't I catch these during a comp ? :'(

All on 3" gulp minnow pumpkin seed and the now popular nuclear chicken shrimp

And the spot, well that's just gonna stay my little secret.

Cheers

I don't take a camera as I think it brings me bad luck.

You'll just have to trust me about the fish.

Would I lie to anyone ;)

sounds like an awesome day mate. I got my first bream last week on the same plastic it was a really good fight I would love to be able to nail them like that. Do you have any tips for targeting bream with the plastics or is it as simple as get it as close to the structure as you can (thats how i got my first one)?
good catch

Yeah Ian
It's always the case isn't it, great days when you don't need the fish and shockers when you do need them.

Yesterday was one of the best days fishing for a long long time.

If it wasn't so windy we could have stayed for alot longer as we where still getting hits.

But I was struggling to keep any sort of position with my cable steer.

Hopefully back on the water on friday again.

Well done Mick, sounds like a great session, its a pity we don't have those more often or as you say in the comps. Lets hope we see some nice fish at the Social next week.

Good luck on Friday.

Cheers
