Took my mate Paul out for a fish on his Galeforce yesterday since it hasn't been wet in way too long. Poor bastrard hadn't even used his electric for a fish since last flathead classic! After some recent success on big flatties I promised to help get his boat slimy and stinky, as well as wet!! So I poured a bucket of pigs guts and tuna oil chum all over his deck ...... well ok I didn't but........
Picked up another mate and off we went. Absolutely magic, sun-drenched weather with glassy water, some good fish and plenty of piss-taking as well. Took him to a spot that's been working for me lately and He scored a nice fat 83cm on an atomic fat grub (I call em "gumby grubs" as even Paul can score good fish on em with minimal action!)
Caught plenty more in the 50-70cm range and kept a few for the pan. Back home for lunch!
Been heaps of fish in the middle sections of the broadwater guys so go get em! The pin was fishing crap a few weeks ago so didn't try there. These fish came from around the aldershots and tipplers passage areas on the incoming tide. Look for back-eddy's near weed beds that have bait there as well. The spots change from week to week depending on where the bait is I guess?? But from recent other reports here they're definitley eating!! Anyone tried the pin lately?
Tight Lines.
