I took the wife and baby for a run in the boat, to get everyone out of the house for a while and to take in some of the beaut weather we have been experiencing.
I decided to throw in my bait caster and a packet of plastics, just in case, and off we went.
Headed to Mission Point for a cruise and check out the scenery and had a few casts to cure the urge. Well 6 casts later, I'm on, and the result was this 73cm Lizard, that was carefully released after a couple of pics.
The urge was fixed, albeit until next time.
The rig was 14 lb PE braid, 12 lb Flurocarbon leader, 3/8 oz jig with a 4" Squidgey Shad, Daiwa CVZ 203 on a Shimano Bass Raider 3 to 6 kg rod.
I went up the Passage again 3 days later and nailed a 63 and 65 cm on the same lure. Sometimes it goes like that.

They certainly seem to be firing there at the moment. Maybe the netting ban is starting to show some positive results. Nice lizards by the way!!

Very nice fish mate, its a great area to fish one of my favourites. That drop off and the flats opposite always seem to provide some action.
