So I'd normally head off to the other side of Moreton, Fraser, Cooloola etc but this time we have to go with people in 2WD vehicles so Adder Rock campsite at North Staddie it is. Thing is I've never been there so what can i expect to catch off the beach there, or dare is say, the rock, I mean they must call it Adder Rock cause there's a big rock right ? And if so is this a place where people get washed off ?

Walk down the beach a hundred metres or so and flick for lizards around the timbers in the lagoon. Plenty there!!

hey mate, yeah there is a rock there. When the tailor are on you can often pick up some good fish. but yeah goin down the beach for lizards would definitely be a good option...or drive down main beach and find yaself a nice gutter.best of luck!

Tailor and plenty of smaller dart I've caught around the rock. Being where it's located the swell doesn't penetrate in their too much (depending on swell direction) so it's a pretty safe bet.
Very family style beach.
Maybe the odd jew at night off the rock if you're lucky.
Good luck mate. Straddies a great spot.

Rich ;)

For the bigger fish drive up Main beach. Plenty pippies up there too. Only if ya got the 4wd tho.

Heya Porl

If the headlands aren't producing for you 2wd will give you enough mobility if your legs are good enough to carry you 2km or less.

George Nothling Drive is the closest exit for you, it often has some good gutters in close walking range.

Next up Flinders Beach, again you can park and walk the last little bit to the beach and is worth a look if the swell gets up a bit too much for main or the S/E picks up too much.

Best option imo would be drive back through Dunwich and out to the causeway on main beach. You can pick up some pippis for bait if needed and usually a few decent gutters within the 1st 500m north or first 2km south holding dart bream and tailor.
