I knocked off work at lunchtime today and decided to see what the pioneer river had to offer. I drifted along the rockwalls throwing a few different plastics but to no avail. i ended up down towards the mouth of the river then saw several fish smashing the surfacein the eddies. i drifted past these eddies a few times once again no hookups.
plan b: anchor up continue to throw plastics. this time i let the saltwater glass minnow hang in the current. next minute zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz i was on... to something and after a short run i had it near the boat. the fish has run again but this time some aerial work and due to my inexperience i have no pics for you. :(
what i can tell you is this fish was silver in colour and had a helluva big mouth.so i can only imagine this may have well been my first barra. what do you guys think?
the tide is very different to brissy up here..5m tide this arvo
