Small yazuri poppers when its dark I don't think the colour matters as you've got the right action going

Eddy Surface busters, use a slow bobbing action or walk the dog retrieve.
Smith poppers, would be my second choice.
Caught plenty this way last year with Trevs & Bream as by catch.

I like the river to sea 88mm poppers in red head and white body and retrieve as Toppy said.

These have been successful for me. Not sure of brand, 2.5" long.

The River2Sea poppers in similar colours to the above photo are also good.

I also like to add a bit of a tail to my poppers, usually some sparkly thread (kind of like you would have on a fly-lure)

Try the GoBo poppers, im not shure what size they are, ive caught a few on them.

Zip n Ziggys by C'Ultiva. Havent got a jack on one yet but fishing buddy has got a few. Bream, Queenies and Trevs love them as well.
