Hi all, this is my first posting and unfortunately, not much to brag about.Itook the kids down to boggy ck Sunday at about 10:30a.m to fish the making tide.We got some live mullet and herring with the cast net,set the crab pots and began to fish.As soon as it hit the bottom we were getting hit, however they were all missing the hooks. If Iput it thru the head they would hit the tail,if I put it in the tail they would hit the head.

I tried live bait hooks, carley hooks, big, small, didn't seem to matter,I just couldn't get a hook-up.Obviously not landing a fish I can only guess what was frustrating the sh*t out of me.When i've fished Brekky CK i've had small Moses Perch do this as well as small Jewies.

In the end it was still a day out fishing with the kids and we managed 2 muddies that were just legal ( both by about 2mm ).If I had only got one it would have gone back, but 2was enough for a feed.

Cheers. :)

Mate , all you need is a pair of pliers & make em yourself.make sure the last hook trails . works for me using poddy mullet.I also swear by using pink line.

Well I'd like to firstly say welcome to Ausfish sharkbaithoohaha. Nice to have you with us. Thanks for sharing with us your first post. Never worry about it not being much to brag about because we are all fishing addicts that love to read any posts so it's all good. ;) Those are mighty fine looking muddies. Let's hope they are full. :)
