Hi mate. I have been spinning from the rock wall a fair bit lately. The species you mentioned are definatley being caught, having landed some nice trevally and kings myself.
The technique most guys use down there, is to let your lure sink to the bottom ( wait around 20 seconds), then crank it in.
Ill be heading down there on saturday hoping for some fish
good luck mate

I drove thru a school of tuna 200metres east of the seaway today. There are a few around, a few more schools as I went to the 24s.

The rockwall always produces trevs and the occasional rat king... I have even caught bonite... but in front of the north wall in a boat... The south wall landbased is good enough... you really need to get there early morning or late arvo... especially around the school holiday period... too much boat traffic... I agree with Richos... Let the lure sink and rip it in as quick as you can... you can never be winding fast enough! I might have a landbased fish this weekend too!

Good luck

Amokk, anywhere along the wall can produce fish. Keep moving around if you are not getting any hits. I have had times where im casting one spot for an hour straight and not a hit, then move 10 metres up the wall and get onto a hot bite.

Usually use 65 and 45 gram slugs. Ive started to make my own raider style lures, as loosing 7 lures to the rocks in one session somewhat hurts:)

yeah i know what that feels like..

i usually fish from boat.. but the boat is out of action.. so was thinking about going down for a bit of action.

so might have to visit a tackle shop before hand lol
