Well this was our first classic, and what can i say, we had a blast, as well as being completely buggered by the end. After some good results in prefishes, expectations were high. Big thanks to the comittee as it was ran very well. Our results were

Day 1. Very tough day with only 7 flathead caught. Biggest was a 66cm by myself. Finished 32nd for the teams.

Day 2. Had a better day with 9 flathead boated, and all over 40cm. Biggest was still only 67cm by myself. Finished 19th for the teams, and 32nd for the individuals.

Day 3. Very tough in the windy conditions. Only boated one nice fish about 5 minutes before the end. The team finished 23rd overall, and i finished 31st.

Overall we were pretty happy with the results as we only started fishing the area about 2 months ago. Next year will be back and aiming for top 10.

Was definately a case of a mixed bag and sometimes it felt like we could catch everything but a flathead. These species were

1 Bream 34cm (was second biggest of the comp, missed by 1 cm.)
1 Whiting 37cm (was second biggest of the comp, missed by 2 cm.)
2 Trevally 42cm
1 Queenfish 64cm (Was no category for this)
1 Small Cod
1 Stingray.

Here are some pics of our better fish.

It sure does take it out of you fishing hard for 3 days. Makes it a little bit easier when getting amoungst a few. That queeny was a bit of a bonus. Well done for your first year. I slept most of yesterday and was praying for rain this morning. Didnt want to go to work at all!

Duyz72 we probably used about 30L for the comp. Didn't cover that much ground. Haven't fished the pin much so just concentrated on areas we new. Didn't go anywhere near the bar.
