Golden Beach- sunday morning

Fished one of the jetties at Golden Beach this morning for a couple of hours. After scoring a few pike on soft plastics I headed for Armoz's spot X, but after no hits on the livie after an hour I went back to the jetty. Scored a slightly undersize Estuary Cod on a soft plastic, then 2 smallsih sand flathead also on sps. In the meantime, the pike I had out had been twitching fairly nervously for sometime without actually being taken. The young fellas fishing next to me had hooked and lost a very large flathead, and then sometime later managed to hook her again, with a better end result this time. Helped them to land her and I estimated her at about 80cm, very fat fish, nice and thick. Luckily, the boys didn't try to keep her and she swam off to terrorise more pike in the passage. By this point the sun was fairly high and decided to call it quits. No keepers but a fun day and I got to see a nice fish landed.

I forgot to mention when i finally brought the livie in to go home he'd been comprehensively chewed, everywhere but the part where the hook was of course... ::)

Haha, I've still only seen rays and toadfish there and haven't caught anything, so it's not me raiding it! I swear I haven't said a word about where it is ;) I only tell people about the spots where I catch something ;D
