Braved the weather saturday morning and charged down to Northern NSW to fish the rocks. Was pissin down when we left and continued un abated through-out the morning.
Arrived at 4.30 with the wind stil blowing and a bit of swell about with a couple of waves crashin into us!
Morning started slow until my mate Joshy nailed a good GT on a 20g Lazer, which gave him an awesome fight, nearly reefing him several times. I was using a Roosta Popper and only had 1 go from a Tailor.
Then i changed to a 20g lazer and got smashed by an unstoppable, most probably a King, who took me straight back to his lair, stripping 30lb braid with ease. Called it a day at 7am extremely wet to go and take on some Bass. Disappointing not to nail any Tailor. There were a few birds about, but didn't see any fish chopping.
Cheers Matt
