unlike manchild, we pulled the pin on the sat overnighter due to the
rain and deceided to get up early sunday and go and chase some whiting on the run in tide. Arrived at Rudy Maas's at daylight to find glass conditions, headed down the pin and dropped a few pots
on the way for a sandie or muddie. Pulled up at 1st spot and after
a few quiet minutes BANG! deckkie is on and pulls up a 41cm whiting..I start to curse him when my rod takes off and up comes a 43 cm whiting !!..now i am happy...caught 16 at this spot and then moved to spots 2,3 & 4...caught fish at all spots and by 11am we had 42 whiting, so time to check the pots, caught 3 sandies and 2 muddies, rebaited & reset and headed up the logan for a fish.sitting on 5000 revs thru the powerlines with conditions still glassed out..Got to spot x in the logan and caught another 14 within 1 hour, time for home so we picked up our pots on the way and caught another 2 sandies and 1 muddie...end result was 56 whiting with 16 over 40 cms and the biggest weighing 685gms whole, 2 sandies and 3 muddies....The whiting where all good size
and by having no wing to blow your rod around, and big tides, i had a feeling that today would be special.

Photos will be posted shortly.

What a great session. Looking forward to seeing the photos. It sure was nice weather on Sunday. I didn't get out as my wife could go into labour at any time with our first baby. We're still waiting.

What bait did the damage?

for Steve,

The killer bait was Gem Bait Shop blood worms....

Still to be convinced that sp's will out do the bloodies.

Tough day at the office by the sounds of it. You really killed em. (pun intended). Good catch.

Dave. P.S. Perhaps a takeover of the top job is in order. GOOD LUCK.
