Mr Wong has been very quiet for a while... many weekends of landscaping the yard..... Time for a fish and even if the results were "bait" far better than being at home.
Departed Scarborough at 6ish, over to the island and up to Comburo grabbed a few livies from there and an just under size snapper to throw bait that I got on the bait jig. Chased a few schools of tuna around then with no success... was beside a Ausfish ally 4.5ish tinny for a while - hi guys!
Then poked the nose to western rocks - 2 hours live baiting no success. Off to the Cape for a look- to lumpy with Baby Wong aboard. Back to Comburo are where me and baby wong picked up 25 Bonito in and 3 mack tuna in an hour or so. Just casting slugs - started with the lungtail outfit and ended up on a trout rod with 6lb string ... they go way hard on that kinda gear.... way fun pity I had no decky. (Mrs Wong at work).
Any hoo have plenty of bait for a while - lucky I have a bait freezer in the shed.
No pics as they are only bointo :)
If any of you Bald Hills peoples need some crab bait just holler ... would be good to meet some locals
Cheers - - - bring on the spotties
