Hadn't taken my boat since June this year.So on Sunday headed out early and was on the water about 5 am. Found a new fishing spot and bagged out on snapper .Biggest was 47 cm. Used gulps and 5 inch Zooms Baby Bass colour.
"Lanks",and "Show me the Fish" (my sons ) were out elsewhere on the Bay fishing with "On the Chew" in his boat . They only caught one fish between them for the day.

Lanks rang me on Monday and begged me to go out with him on Tuesday and he was ancious to try out new spot.We were on the water at 4.30am and back home about 9 am. Lanks caught 8 and I caught 5.

The biggest was 52 cm and we only kept a few.

As the fish were on the bite we decided to go out again on Wednesday .Nothin was happening at new spot so we moved around the bay and only managed 1 squire at 40cm.

We tried "THE SPOT" which produced a 65 cm snapper for Lanks which bettered his previous PB of 54 cm and our fishing group record of 56cm held by On the Chew.I then caught a 60 cm snapper which bettered my previous PB of 52cm. Lanks was stoked when he landed his 65 cm snapper but was over the moon when he landed the 97 cm one .See post "Finally a snapper".
Could not shut him up for the rest of the day

Well I,m going out again Friday so hope the fish are still on the bite .But it's looks as though Lanks will hold our record for snapper for some time.Maybe we should reset this record. What do you think "On the Chew"

I think the snapper record should be reset every year, probably in the end of november I recon would be a good time of year to do it. Lanks's fish was awesome I went around and had a look at it after work it was massive. At least we have a goal to reach now, with our records we always have a chance of increasing on them not so lucky for Lanks I don't think he will have much chance of beating that one.

Good luck friday you never know your luck you or chris could knock lanks off.....

Harrold I think this was the unluckiest time to put your report on. A week ago you would have had twenty people telling well done, good effort, nice fish etc. But coming in two days after Lanks's report nothing else really compares. Maybe next time Lanks won't hog all of your glory. Good effort though not too many times you can go out three days in a row and do so well.

Gidday guys,

Sounds to me like you have a group of guys getting in there under stealth mode, and while the focus has been on Lanks this week with his brute fish, you guys are putting in the effort which is being rewarded with very respectable PB's. Well done! Don't leave it nearly 5 months till the next time you give the boat a run will you. If you fished half the amount of times some of the regular AF's do, bigger than 97cm is on the cards I reckon!!
