I spent a few relaxing days in the cabins at Coochin Creek this week. Fished mornings and afternoons and scored some good Whiting , Bream and a nice Cod. Picked up a good Muddie in the pots along with about 20 undersized bucks and jennies. Fresh Mud crab sandwiches washed down with cold beer is as close to heaven as i'm gonna get. ;)

Hey coochin nice catch mate.
These cabins, whereabouts along the creek are they? Can they be rented out? Or are they private? Are these the buildings on the southern side down near the mouth/passage?

I would also like to hear about them if they are available to rent.
Thanks,

Google is your friend ;)...I googled Cochin Creek last night and got several pages including some about accomodation and camping, looked like a great spot for a quiet weekend

Yes you can rent the cabins on Coochin, They are on private property about 500 metres from the mouth of the creek. They are fully powered with gas stove and all cooking and eating utensils as well as bunks and pillows . All you have to supply is food , drink , linen and mossie spray or you will be eaten alive if outside on dark. The cabins are fairly well booked during the warmer months over the weekends in particular. If interested in booking ring Marty on ( 07) 54946468 and will give you directions on how to get there.

I stayed out there last weekend with a heap of guys we only got a few bream that where not under size. Heaps of small flathead where caught in the passage and small bream and cod in the deep holes in the creek.
