Last day of my holidays today so what better way to spend it than hitting the 'Pin for a SP flathead session? Also had my mate Jez along hoping to nail his first fish on soft palstics. On the water at 07:30am and within 5 casts Jez says he's on, "but it's only small". That "small" one then saw the boat and took off with the drag singing and later hit the tapes at a solid 67cm! Not too shabby for your first SP fish!
With mission accomplished we should have headed back to the ramp but instead spent the next few hours battling the 20knot SE wind and the hundreds of other boats at the 'Pin with no fish to show for it. We managed to redeem ourselves with a couple more nice fish before calling it stumps. Great day with a great mate............. sure beats working.
