G"day everyone.Went sharking if thats a word ;D on thursday arvo.Fished the dropoff opposite to goat island for a great result.Tally was 9 blacktips a hammerhead,a few shovellies and plenty of bite offs. Some of these buggers were biting thru 100 lb mono trace with such an ease that a rod tip hardly moved at all.Just as well they didnt hooked up ;D
cheers
George

Well you did very well "sharking" that's for sure. Well done. Just out of curiosity what did you do with them? Released or kept them? I know out of past experience that the black tipped reef sharks are awesome on the table.

Agree Poodroo.when it comes to flake nothing beats the blacktip for me,exept elephant or ghost sharks.

Was that the gold question ;)
What bait were you useing? Were you burleying? Sean :) I reckon sharks are underratted myself, I am into C&R So a few sharks are a good way to get the drag going.
