Can any Maverick/patrol owners tell me how many k's you get out of the top half of the tank......and what u get out of a tank... I own a 1990 SWB Ford MAverick I get approx 100k's out of the first half and 80 out of the second quarter and 100 out of the first quarter so around 280 out of a tank.

Any info on this would be great

Cheers

Maverick

Thats about 30l litres/100k. I know they suck fuel cause a used to have a lwb 92 auto on gas but it did better than that.

I had mine dyno tested and tuned. Ended up upgrading the carby and ended up with better power and less fuel consumption.

At worst towing a trailer fully laden it would return those sort of figures.

Try getting it dyno tuned.

I've got a deisel one now.

Geez

I can relate to this post.

My maverick has a 90 litre tank and as Maverick 79 says I get somewhere between 300 - 400 k a tank.

Any one want to buy one, I'm selling mine soon to get more kms' out of my dollars.

I have an 89 GQ wagon petrol/gas. I can't tell you what the figures are on petrol, cause I haven't emptied a full tank in 1 go.
Gas is an 80lt tank, which I get 350k to 400k a tank. It gets driven pretty hard, the air con's always on and at 43c/lt, and about $34.00/tank its not too bad.
Very rarely run it on petrol, but I do have a Moreys upper cylinder kit on it.
Does suffer a slight loss of power compared to running on petrol.

Just got back from straddie found out it was the sender (and taperts) Did some very heavy 4wdrinving alot of towing and was getting at worst 24 per hundred and at best 14 per hundred. Will have to get the sender fixed as it is showing near empty only after 70k's bloody thing >:(

Thanks every one for there coments
