In the market for a new car and the Frontera Sport 3 door is at the top of my list at the moment. I'm looking at the late model SE ones rather than the older shape pre 1999. I've heard they are a bit sluggish but that's ok I drive a rav4 anyway. ::) Anything I should be wary of on the mechanical side of things?

Son in Law had one Bashir & mechanically it was fine. Except for a really jerky clutch. It was impossible to execute a smooth gear change. Took his down the 'hill of death' on the brothers farm - low range isn't low enough - scared ourselves a bit :D :D :D.
